Job Description: Be available to step in and substitute for the Classroom instructor or Aid, or come in on busy days when more help is needed.
This would be an on-call position. Hours are not guaranteed except for attendance to training and professional development events.
Some tasks would include:
Following sub plan for the PreK/Kinder classroom
Supervision of children
Light Cleaning
Leaving notes summarizing the day for absent instructor/aid
Possibly opening or closing of classroom
Qualifications:
✔️ have flexible availability Tues-Fri between 8:30 AM - 2 PM
✔️ have experience working with children under the age of 8 - preferably in a group setting
✔️ experience with positive discipline and play-based learning (or willing to learn)
✔️ willing to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
✔️ ability to be flexible and adapt to change
✔️ ability to communicate with parents/caregivers in a respectful and professional manner
✔️ willing to participate in ongoing professional development training and events
✔️ CPR/first aid
✔️ Fingerprint clearance card
Starting at $14 an hour. Children are welcome to attend as long as they are not disruptive or a distraction from job tasks.
